ABOUT ME

I'm a third generation unionist with elected shop stewards on both sides of the family. I was raised in an Irish-Jewish household and grew up learning the stories of struggle and resistance that shaped both my family history and my worldview. In college I joined the student movement to Freeze the Fees in the face of massive cuts to public spending and a tripling of tuition. Since graduating I've worked on campaigns to organize restaurant workers, immigrant car-wash workers, low-income tenants, payday loan users, airport workers, and hotel workers.

I am proud to be a member of UAW 2865, probably the most internally democratic, member-driven, and progressive union in the United States. As a former union organizer and a community organizer I know what it takes to build the kind of people power needed to fight back against state cuts, a vindictive administration, and the looming Janus v. AFSCME disaster. I am dedicated to building an even more participatory, inclusive, and unapologetically progressive union that fights and wins.
